50 Threw Rocks @ Boxing Throne and Missed

When this farce of a Boxing takeover commenced the only people that considered it an actual takeover were "fans" who admired Curtis Jackson's meteoric rise as a "Rapper". Nobody considered that Rap and Boxing are completely different apparatuses and the Monopoly that runs Boxing is firmly in place. Nobody considered that "50 Cent" a man who established himself with Beef real and manufactured had zero chance of toppling Al Haymon and Golden Boy Promotions and by extension HBO. I said as much, over and over again and when you consider the lame tactics used you had to ask yourself "is this brotha serious?". While Floyd was incarcerated 50 did what all snakes do, he started moving in on the flunky brigade to see if he could muddy the waters and instigate a Hip Hop styled coup. Fighters like Gamboa and Direll, already inactive will suffer from 50's naked aggression because first and foremost they need fights not Beef. Floyd in the same way he rolled from punches knew his homie was capable of "anything", remember one friend is mediocre at his craft and the other (despite what people think of him) is the genuine article. Larry Merchant put it best, "welcome to the big city", this isn't Hip Hop, there are deeply ingrained principalities and complexities in place, Boxing isn't anarchy like Rap-it's a controlled Monopoly. Until SMS can build up a roster and secure dates they are a Shell company like Mayweather Promotions and all of this depends on relationships. He'll be blessed if Arum considers him an unofficial subsidiary, which unknown to 50's fans "IS" a great opportunity. Bob Arum is fine with putting Dirrell and Gamboa on his cards minus the overhead, but you'd be a damned fool to think Mr. Vitamin Water moved in a Harvard Attorneys big money maker. In fact, 50 Cents "photo ops" and co promotion deals with Manny Pacquiao are no more substantive than his albums-they were scorned lover moves meant to bring Floyd out of the shoulder roll. Think about 50's "admission" of "fake" beef the outing of Hip Hops WWE styled marketing, it was a surrender-more like an apology in the face of an industry that CAN freeze him out. This exchange was not fake, remember-the best "jokes" have a ring of truth to them, they could have pushed any other buttons but the ones they pushed. Haymon probably does have Floyd on an allowance; which is hinted at when Floyd talks about having "smart people" in his corner, no shame in that unless your trying to impress jackass kids. When he was in jail "50" used a flunky to tell Floyd the money he isn't seeing goes elsewhere, as if Haymon would be the first financial guy to do that-at least he isn't walking around with it like some people. The Money Team Jackets are worthless, they are merely adornments for an ever growing entourage that probably bugged the hell out of "50 Cent" who was trying to move in on Floyd's affairs. "50" for his part was a male Boxing Groupie, i said it a long time ago-but i was just a random hater, why would Floyd "go there" unless Curtis did something to him that hurt?.When Fiddy quipped about Floyd wanting to be in music that was deeply personal, remember Floyd had an inactive roster of music acts (Philthy Rich Records?) like Curtis now has a roster of inactive Boxers. The Domestic violence reference is no joking matter either because "50" was probably nearby the night Floyd "did" whatever he did that put him away for 60 days. This was not an attention ploy, although it took place in a forum people go to for frivolous attention. It was what happens when two very rich "friends" of questionable ethics and character "fall out" and it is bound to flare up again once "50" realizes the Boxing door is closed. Floyd iced him out in his industry like "50" iced him out of music, Curtis probably iced Floyd out of the 300$ headphone (for douche bags) projects they bragged about earlier in their "bromance" remember?. Think long and hard about the fights you get into with loved ones and homies; you can probably remember everything said because that person had sensitive "intel" on you."50 Cent" calling it a "stunt" is the equivalent of a person realizing they punched their best friend in a room full of strangers..it was damage control. The kind of damage control that Chelsea Handler could appreciate, when she was caught in a love triangle with "50" and R&B singer Ciara he called her on 3 way to "prove" Ciara was the one sweating him. It sounds like a good way to clear things up, unless your a fully formed adult like the 37 yr. old Handler. Your response to this whole TMT-SMS-MONEY TEAM bullshit should be in the spirit of Ms. Handler due to the fact that we are talking about TWO men who will be 40 sooner  than later. Whenever the next "very real" Twantrum comes from "50" regarding his so called Boxing takeover just remember the words of Chelsea and Tweet back "Curtis, this is so 8th Grade".

Disclosure: This may be my last word on the matter, i have a real problem with calling another grown man 50 Cent, when i type it i feel myself regressing back to the 8th grade as well.
